What an incredible day for Great Britain as Andy Murray won gold in the men’s singles tennis final, and Max Whitlock won the first and second gold medals in gymnastics that Great Britain has ever achieved. We can’t forget to mention what the whole world is still talking about—Usain Bolt won the gold in the 100m cementing himself as the fastest runner in the world. Here is the updated medal count:

  2. China: 45 (15 Gold, 13 Silver, 17 Bronze)
  3. Great Britain: 38 (15 Gold, 16 Silver, 7 Bronze)
