Fixed on the Amalfi Coast, Positano, Italy is one of the most beautiful places you can find. Popular among honeymooners and retirees, this small city is the perfect place to find a variety of activities. Whether you’re looking to spend a day shopping, lying on the beach, relaxing on a boat, or exploring the many restaurants, Positano has something for everyone to enjoy.

While a bit of a drive from the heart of Positano, many will tell you Mama’s Kitchen is totally worth it for the food as well as the view.

Day trip to Capri

One option during your stay is to take a day trip to the island of Capri. For a small fee, a boat will take you all around the island showing you the beautiful historical rock formations. Upon arrival to the island, there are endless things to do. Small shops and restaurants are found everywhere you look, and there is even a more high end area to shop designer brands. Just a short bus ride will take you up to Anacapri where you can see an amazing view, grab something to eat, and visit other historical sites.

Beaches of Positano

While there are many beaches  to choose from, Marina Grande Beach is one of the most picturesque. Only accessible from the top of more than 300 stairs, this beach has some of the most famous restaurants and lively social life in all of Positano. The bay nearby features many boats from which you can take excursions, or just simply enjoy their beauty while taking in some sun.

Walking and Hiking

Il Sentiero degli Dei

There are many different places to go on hikes to view the amazing scenery of Positano. Some of the most famous are Il Sentiero degli Dei, La Baia di leranto, and Punta Campanella. In particular, Il Sentiero degli Dei has the most picturesque views and landscaping, according to most visitors. During an easy level 3-hour hike, you can see some of the most beautiful parts of Positano while getting a good workout in.
